Job Overview:
As the Sales Manager at Esco Lifesciences, you will spearhead the sales operations for our scientific laboratory equipment, leading a team of territory managers to achieve sales targets. Your role involves crafting strategic sales plans, analysing market trends, and nurturing relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and advance our mission of improving lives through science.
Job title: Sales Manager
Location: Home based, with travel across the UK and Ireland. Also required to attend the Company's premises or any other location when requested.
Direct Manager: General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives, including forecasting and market analysis.
· Team Leadership: Recruit, train, coach, and motivate territory managers to achieve performance goals, leading to high-performing sales teams.
· Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including life science professionals, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
· Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, identify new business opportunities, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
· Sales Data Management: Track sales data, analyse performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve sales effectiveness.
· Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Esco Lifesciences products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
· Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate product information and sales strategies through written, verbal, and visual means.
Key Requirements:
· Leadership and Motivation: Be able to inspire and motivate sales teams to achieve their goals.
· Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with customers, dealer sales representatives and colleagues.
· Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Analyse data, identify opportunities, and solve problems.
· Organizational and Planning Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
· Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and other sales tools.
· Scientific Knowledge: A strong understanding of the UK and Ireland life science market particularly laboratory equipment
· Travel: There is an expectation that a high percentage of this role will be spent in the field seeing direct customer opportunities, spending time with your sales team and with our dealers sales representatives.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Results: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field
