hireful is seeking a part-time Sales Ledger Assistant to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role focuses on raising sales invoices, processing payments and keeping customer accounts accurate.

Based onsite in County Antrim, this 27.5-hour week role is commutable from Ballymena, Antrim, Newtownabbey, Ballyclare, Ballynure and surrounding areas, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Raise sales invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Manage cash sales and ensure invoices are raised before jobs proceed.
• Prepare credit notes and maintain up-to-date records.
• Liaise with customers and operations to resolve queries.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks.

A well-established logistics business with a strong reputation across the UK and Ireland is looking for a part-time Sales Ledger Assistant to join its busy finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role focuses on raising sales invoices and processing payments, keeping customer accounts accurate and cash flowing. It suits someone who enjoys detail, likes variety and wants a settled, part-time week.

Location: County Antrim - Based onsite this role is part time, 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and is commutable from Ballymena, Antrim, Newtownabbey, Ballyclare, Ballynure, Crumlin, Carrickfergus, Lame, Lisburn, Belfast and surrounding areas.

What will you be doing?

• Raising sales invoices through the company's transport management system and making sure payments are received on time.
• Managing cash sales, ensuring invoices are raised and payment is received before jobs go ahead.
• Preparing credit notes as required and keeping every record accurate and up to date.
• Liaising with customers and operational colleagues to resolve queries and potential issues quickly.
• Providing wider support across the finance team when needed, gaining exposure to a range of systems and processes.

What you ll bring

• Sales Ledger experience working in a busy finance office using Microsoft Office packages, with strong all-round IT skills.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when entering and extracting data.
• Clear, confident communication and a customer-focused, team-minded approach.
• A background in transport or logistics would be an advantage.
