Job summary

Softcat plc is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer for a 6 month FTC maternity cover within the Learning & Development team. You will help transform our on-demand Sales Academies by designing, building and refining practical learning content that supports sales teams and leaders to perform at their best.

You will craft a range of learning formats—static documents, guides, e-learning modules, videos and workshop materials—using tools like Articulate and Synthesia to create engaging,

Qualifications

• Strong instructional design experience with clear, practical, outcome-focused learning.
• Ability to turn briefs or SME content into high-quality learning assets for academy builds.
• Experience creating learning content for structured academies or capability programmes.
• Confidence producing guides, presentations, e-learning, videos and workshop materials.
• Experience using digital learning tools such as Articulate, Synthesia, screen recording software or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and refine high-quality learning content across sales and sales management programmes.
• Create a blend of learning formats including documents, videos, e-learning and workshops.
