Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales to work with the DOS in directing daily sales operations across the Southwest hotels and to maximise revenue and marketing strategy. You will lead the sales effort and collaborate on account management and strategy.

You will coach the team, build national and international client relationships, and contribute to pricing and forecasting with the CDOSM and Revenue Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in hotels in a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
• Effective communicator with good interpersonal abilities.
• Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills; sales driven.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day operations of the sales function to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Coach and develop the sales team to drive revenues across all segments.
• Engage in lead generation, meetings, contracting, rate negotiation and trade shows.
• Represent the hotel at sales team meetings and events as appropriate.
• Develop and nurture relationships with national and global clients.
• Input to pricing strategy and forecasting with CDOSM, General Manager and Revenue Manager.
• Utilise CRM to update client databases, log activities and KPI measurements.
• Carry out regular competitor analysis and monitor market trends.
