Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Cluster Director of Sales (Maternity Cover) to lead sales teams across Clayton Hotels Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. You will drive revenue, manage relationships with national and global clients, and shape strategy across owned segments.

Reporting to General Managers with a dotted line to Group Sales UK, the role focuses on leadership, forecasting, and collaboration with the revenue function to maximise performance and guest experiences across the cluster.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in hotels.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Effective communicator with commercial awareness.
• Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills, able to understand key business indicators and trends.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills.
• Sales focused with results orientation.
• Knowledge of the Southwest markets desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and inspire a dynamic sales team, motivating and empowering them to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Lead hotel strategy in planning and forecasting owned business segments.
• Support and adopt a culture of lead generation across the hotel.
• Represent the hotels at sales team meetings and external events as appropriate.
• Adopt tools to support efficient work: CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools and Solver.
• Develop relationships with national and global clients through ongoing account management.
• Plan and forecast rate strategy, budgets and owned segments; monitor corporate production via monthly tracking.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Revenue Manager on rate strategy and forecasting.
• Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports; write quarterly activity plans.
