The position is responsible for growing tail lift sales in designated customer segments through strong account management and proactive value based selling.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Achieve approved budget by meeting individual and team targets to grow new and existing customers.
  2. Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers; access customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet sales targets.
  3. Manage assigned customer relations, act as business manager towards assigned customers and be the main point of contact.
  4. Identify, research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  5. Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within organization.
  6. Collaborate with technical support representatives in the market area to coordinate and channel technical support towards assigned customers with market area.
  7. Know, understand and comply with Hiab code of conduct and relevant competition laws.
  8. Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
  9. Use Salesforce (CRM) for documenting leads, sales and customer data.
  10. Use configurator for quotations and price deviation approvals.
  11. Perform all other duties as required by Manager within the physical constraints of the job.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

Suitable educational background; commercial, mechanical engineer, production engineer or administrative subjects (Bachelor/academic level).

Working experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience of sales and marketing within the commercial vehicle industry, preferable with knowledge of tail lifts (but not essential as training will be provided).

Competence and skills:

Ability to work in an international business environment/in a matrix organization.
Proven ability to drive and develop equipment business sales and profitability.
Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships.
High integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong business mind-set with financial skills.
Good technical skills and product knowledge.

Place of Work and travels:

United Kingdom
Occasional visits outside of UK for training or commercial opportunities.
