A leading logistics company in Tilbury is seeking a Sales & Development Executive to join their sales team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales, showcasing a proven track record in sales and business development. Responsibilities include serving as a link between BDMs and customer service, developing new customer relationships, and managing existing accounts. A competitive salary package is offered based on experience, alongside commission opportunities.

Position Details
  • Job Title : Sales & Development Executive
  • Location : Tilbury, Essex
  • Hours : Monday to Friday, 09 : 00–17 : 00
  • Salary : Competitive, based on experience

We require a sales and development executive to join or sales team.

They will be a crucial link between BDMs, and our customer service team.

Ideally candidates will have business they can bring with them.

We would be looking at a salary of £30k - £37.5k depending on experience.

Commission is paid at 10% of gross profit for new customers and 5% of gross profit for customers secured as a result of information secured from our team.

These would reduce to 5% and 2.5% respectively after 12 months but would continue for as long as the candidate continues to work for us.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, and road) within a freight forwarding environment.
  • A proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the global freight industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A collaborative and dynamic team spirit.
  • Outstanding English and mathematics skills
