Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Car Sales Executive in Grays to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve individual and dealership targets. You will welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them through the vehicle purchase process.

The role offers a £22,500 base with OTE £50,000, a company car, and no Sunday working. You will work Monday–Friday 8:30am–6:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am–5:00pm in a supportive dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or retail sales with a track record of meeting targets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, confident approach with good commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and understand vehicle requirements.
• Build relationships throughout the sales process and present vehicles.
• Arrange test drives and showcase features and benefits.
• Identify upsell opportunities for additional products/services.
• Handle showroom, phone and online enquiries and manage pipeline.
• Work to monthly sales and profitability targets and complete paperwork accurately.
• Follow up with prospective customers and transition to handover.

The Role

As a Car Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving individual and dealership sales targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and understanding their vehicle requirements
• Building strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process
• Presenting vehicles and arranging test drives
• Demonstrating vehicle features and benefitsIdentifying opportunities to upsell additional products and services
• Managing enquiries from showroom, telephone and online customers
• Working towards monthly sales and profitability targets
• Completing sales administration accurately
• Following up prospective customers and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
• Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard
• Delivering a professional customer experience from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover

About You

We're looking for a confident, motivated and target-driven Car Sales Executive / Vehicle Sales Executive with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales or a target-driven sales environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A confident and professional approach
• Good commercial awareness
• A proven ability to work towards and achieve targets
• Full UK Driving Licence
• A positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
