Salary: up to £50,000 OTE (including £25,000 basic plus uncapped commission)

Hours of Work: (44 hours per week on rota basis, with flexibility) between Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 (with one day off), Saturdays 09:00 to 17:00 and alternate Sundays 10:00 to 16:00

Owing to our hard work and continuous success, we are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join the team at Gateshead Nissan. As a Sales Executive at Lookers, you could specialise in either New or Used car sales, focusing on providing a world-class customer motoring experience! You will work alongside our other Sales Executives, Business Managers, and Sales Managers to ensure our customers always receive the best service.

Joining our team of Sales Executives, you will be a team player with exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with colleagues and customers. Not only will you join one of the top automotive retailers in the UK, but you will also report to an enthusiastic and experienced General Sales Manager, who has extensive knowledge and experience within the automotive industry. Our Sales Managers and Business Managers will support your success through ongoing training, regular 1-to-1s, and in-house sales training. This will help you develop your skills and establish a strong career within the industry. Our Sales Executives are key points of contact, paying close attention to detail to understand customers' wants and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with customers via email, telephone, and in person, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
  • Listening attentively to customer needs and suggesting suitable vehicles that match their requirements
  • Arranging and accompanying customers on test drives
  • Negotiating the final price for the sale
  • Completing relevant paperwork for each sale
  • Liaising with relevant departments throughout the sales process to ensure an efficient and smooth transaction

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be self-motivated, and passionate about their work. You will be expected to meet targets, so ambition and hard work are essential.

Previous experience in a similar role within the motor trade is desirable. You will hold a full UK driving license, as you may be expected to drive some of the most prestigious cars on the market!
