Sales & Events Coordinator
Job Description
- Work closely with the Sales Office Manager and the sales team.
- Maximise venue potential and achieve monthly budgets.
- Assist in rate strategy for M&E aligned with budget expectations.
- Handle reservations for bedrooms for events and transient guests.
- Attend all mandatory and job-specific training.
- Provide high levels of customer care during the lead-up and events.
- Maximise sales and revenue through positive sales opportunities.
- Follow sales disciplines and procedures to develop the business.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries within hotel guidelines.
- Manage diary efficiently within the conference office.
- Maintain sales information using Opera, following company guidelines.
- Attend communication and operational meetings as the sales department representative.
- Support invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Assist the Director of Sales with new leads and client events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Be aware of competitors' services and facilities to promote our hotel.
- Comply with health and safety legislation, report issues, and participate in training.
- Understand and adhere to Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures.
- Support the wider Operations Team and undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by HOD or Hotel Manager.
