The Sustainable St Albans SustFest25 Project group is primarily a volunteer Working Group with some paid contracts at peak workload. This short-term paid contractor role will be the SustFest Events Coordinator and focus on the key deliverables while working closely with the existing group (expected work to be approx 8 hours per week).

Summary Description of the Services to be provided by the Contractor:
  1. Verify registered SustFest event details/check content and format.
  2. Publish verified events on the website (must be confident with WordPress website).
  3. A weekly (1.5 hour) meeting with the core SustFest team.
  4. Maintain SustFest website page with up-to-date content.
  5. Raise queries/answer questions from SustFest and info email accounts.
  6. Reach out to district community groups and businesses to engage in SustFest.
  7. Share updates and event information on relevant social media platforms.
  8. Liaise with SustFest and volunteer groups to plan maximum advertising of key events and the festival as a whole.

The initial contract is for 8 hours per week at a rate of £20 per hour for 20 weeks commencing Feb 2025. The hours are flexible, and work from your home as SSA does not have office space.

You must be available for a weekly team meeting and able to travel into St Albans town centre for these meetings.

This is a contract position, and hours worked should be invoiced to SSA monthly on dates that will be agreed in the contract.
