Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Ipswich is seeking a Sales Engineer with a Refrigeration/ Air Conditioning background to design solutions, shape specifications and own opportunities from enquiry through to order.

The role combines technical HVAC knowledge with commercial flair, including site visits, quotations, pricing, and end-to-end sales management for HVAC systems. You should hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable working with customers to deliver the right HVAC solutions.

Sales Engineer (HVAC/Building Services)

£55,000 + Bonus + Company Car

Ipswich, Suffolk (Commutable from: Colchester, Stowmarket, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds, Hadleigh, Diss)

Are you a technically minded Sales Engineer from a Refrigeration / Air Conditioning background looking for a consultative role where you'll be trusted as the technical expert-designing solutions, shaping specifications, and owning opportunities from enquiry through to order?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established HVAC and Refrigeration specialist with nearly 60 years of success, known for delivering high-quality solutions and outstanding service.

In this role you will combine technical knowledge with commercial expertise, supporting customers with solution design and specification across Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Chillers and AHUs. You'll carry out regular customer site visits, identify requirements and opportunities, prepare and present quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage the full sales process through to securing the order.

This role would suit a Sales Engineer who takes pride in being technically strong and wants a role with real ownership, variety and responsibility-working closely with customers to deliver the right HVAC solutions.

The Role:

• Sales Engineer role focused on technical solution selling
• System advice, design support and specification across Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Chillers and AHUs
• Customer site visits to identify requirements and develop opportunities
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and manage opportunities end-to-end
• Full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week)

The Person:

• Sales experience within Refrigeration / Air Conditioning / Chillers / AHUs (or closely related HVAC systems)
• Strong technical HVAC knowledge with a consultative, customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence (site visits)
