Shadow Industrial Infrared (www.shadowindustrial.co.uk) is a division of Heat Outdoors Limited designing, manufacturing and supplying state-of-the-art, zero carbon Infrared Heating solutions into commercial businesses.Rapid growth and a new specialist IR Chandelier solution for churches, have necessitated the immediate hire of a forward thinking sales professional, capable of working with new technologies and developing a marketplace that is wide open and desperate to be informed.

Heat Outdoors itself was formed in 2007 and is the UK market leader in commercial and residential indoor and outdoor infrared heating solutions under the SHADOW brand name. The company also has a highly successful commercial electric hand dryer business (www.handydryers.co.uk).

The Role

Sales Strategy: We have a high growth marketing-led sales strategy and need a professional with a key focus on:

  • B2B sales made direct to industrial, commercial and state property operators
  • B2B sales made direct to specialist UK distributors
  • B2B sales made through specialist UK installers
  • Conducting site surveys and preparing equipment specifications and quotations – this will be the primary focus of the role.

Market and Channel Research: assist with market research to establish target clients and opportunities for growth within existing sectors and work closely with marketing to achieve goals, driving cohesive and effective collaboration between members of the team, external agencies and contracted business partners to ensure smooth delivery of sales and installations.

Experience

Highly intelligent, commercial individual with detailed knowledge of selling technical products into industrial and commercial B2B and D2B channels. Experience of preparing proposals and tenders for technical projects and negotiating competitive terms. Experience of operating in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) or lighting and other utilities sectors is highly desirable, as is exposure to working with contract installation partners.

Place of Work: Head Office in Bishop’s Stortford. Extensive UK travel will be necessary, with the possibility of occasional trips to Europe. Hybrid opportunity with 2 days required in office.
