We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.
In this role, you will work closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders. Your responsibilities include supporting customer education, enhancing customer engagement, and promoting our Neptune portfolio. You will actively pursue business opportunities within targeted accounts, demonstrating exemplary customer service and patient focus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing skills necessary to become an effective sales representative.
- Assisting the sales team in ensuring compliance with current contracts.
- Learning and applying techniques for growing sales volume within a designated territory through our Surgical Technologies portfolio.
- Focusing on market-leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
- Managing accounts within the territory, including day-to-day operations of key accounts.
- Handling stock issues, instrument requirements, loan kit organization, customer training, and providing guidance on safe product use in hospital and theatre settings.
- Supporting other sales managers to focus on new business acquisition and account development.
This role is primarily training-oriented with the goal of transitioning into a full-time Sales Representative position with independent targets. Initial targets will be milestone-based, with bonuses linked to achievement.
Key accountabilities:
- Managing a territory effectively to meet sales objectives.
- Conducting training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals.
- Understanding customer needs to promote and sell Stryker products, supported by training in sales and negotiation techniques.
- Managing product provision channels, including consignment and loan services.
- Providing excellent customer service within hospitals, building relationships with key personnel.
- Prioritizing patient care and ensuring appropriate product recommendations.
- Collaborating with team members and attending relevant meetings and conferences.
- Maintaining professional ethics and representing Stryker positively.
- Conducting product trials and evaluations in clinical settings.
- Recording customer interactions and developing basic business plans to grow the territory.
Job Requirements:
- Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Commercial awareness and customer engagement skills are beneficial.
- Proficiency in presentation skills and familiarity with modern media.
- An interest in anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to engage, influence, motivate, and work diligently.
