Job description

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.

In this role, working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and support customer education in the field. Your focus will be on increasing customer engagement and commercial success with our Neptune portfolio, actively pursuing business opportunities within targeted accounts, and providing exemplary customer service with a patient-focused approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing skills to become an effective sales representative.
  2. Driving compliance to current contracts alongside the sales team.
  3. Growing sales volume within a defined territory through the Surgical Technologies portfolio, focusing on brands like Neptune and Safe Air.
  4. Managing business in existing accounts and handling daily account operations.

  6. Supporting other sales managers to focus on new business and account development.

This is primarily a training role with the goal of progressing to a full-time Sales Representative position with independent targets. Initially, there will be no individual sales target; bonuses are based on milestones and regional achievements.

Additional key accountabilities include:

  1. Learning to manage and grow a sales territory in line with national objectives.
  2. Implementing and delivering training sessions for hospital staff.
  3. Understanding customer needs and opportunities for product promotion and sales.
  4. Managing product provision channels, such as consignment and loan services, to meet customer needs.
  5. Providing excellent customer service within hospitals, building relationships with key personnel.
  6. Ensuring patient care is prioritized by recommending appropriate products.
  7. Collaborating with the sales team and attending educational events.
  8. Maintaining ethical standards and representing Stryker professionally.
  9. Conducting product trials and evaluations in clinical settings.
  10. Recording customer details and developing basic business plans to prioritize activities and grow the business.
