Job Title: Sales Associate - Surgical Technologies

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.

In this role, you will work closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, support customer education, and promote our Neptune portfolio. You will actively pursue business opportunities, support customer engagement, and contribute to the growth of Stryker's business in targeted accounts, always prioritizing exemplary customer service and patient focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop skills to become an effective sales representative.
  2. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure compliance with current contracts.
  3. Learn and practice techniques to grow sales volume within a defined territory, focusing on brands like Neptune and Safe Air.
  4. Manage business in existing accounts, including stock issues, instrument requirements, loan kits, and customer training.
  5. Support other sales managers to focus on new business acquisition and account development.
  6. This role serves as training with the goal of becoming a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets and objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Manage a territory effectively to meet national sales objectives.
  2. Implement and deliver training sessions and workshops for hospital staff.
  3. Understand customer needs to promote and sell Stryker products, utilizing basic selling and negotiation techniques.
  4. Manage product provision channels to hospitals, such as consignment and loan services.
  5. Provide excellent customer service within hospitals, building relationships with key personnel.
  6. Prioritize patient care by recommending appropriate products.
  7. Work with team members and attend industry meetings to ensure top-tier customer service.
  8. Maintain ethical standards, respecting customers and colleagues, and representing Stryker positively.
  9. Conduct product trials and evaluations in clinical settings.
  10. Record customer details and develop business plans to prioritize activities and grow business.

Job Requirements:

  • Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commercial acumen and an interest in customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills using modern media.
  • Interest in anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to engage, influence, motivate, and work diligently.
