We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.

Working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders. You will take an active part in customer education, supporting the Regional Sales Representatives to achieve greater customer engagement and commercial success with our newly launched Neptune Portfolio. You will actively pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker's business in targeted accounts, demonstrating exemplary customer service and patient focus.

In this role, you will:

  1. Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
  2. Work closely with the sales team on driving compliance to current contracts.
  3. Learn and practice techniques to grow sales volume within a defined territory through the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
  4. Focus on market-leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
  5. Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of key accounts.
  6. Become proficient in handling stock issues, instrument requirements, loan kits, and organizing and conducting customer training, providing guidance on the safe use of Stryker products within hospitals and operating theatres.
  7. Support other sales managers to focus on new business acquisition and account development.

This is essentially a training role with the view to becoming a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets and business objectives. Initially, there will be no individual sales target; bonuses will be based on milestones/objectives and regional target achievement.

In this role, you will support all products within the Surgical Technologies portfolio.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  1. Learn to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with national sales objectives.
  2. Implement and deliver training sessions and workshops on Stryker products to healthcare professionals.
  3. Understand customer needs to identify opportunities for promoting and selling Stryker’s products, supported by training in basic selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  4. Manage product provision channels, such as consignment and loan services, to best meet customer needs.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to existing hospital clients, building relationships with key personnel.
  6. Prioritize patient safety and appropriate product recommendations at all times.
  7. Collaborate with team members and attend training meetings and conferences.
  8. Demonstrate high ethical standards, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
  9. Conduct product trials and evaluations in theatre and clinical environments as needed.
  10. Record customer details and develop business plans to meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
