Job summary

The Yorkshire Trading Company is a family-owned business operating a busy store in Penrith. We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join the team on a 16-hour, four-day rota that includes weekends and may include early mornings.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, processing sales, and staying up-to-date with product information. Training will be provided for the till system and policies followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is desirable.
• Ability to greet customers and ascertain needs.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration.

Job description

Yorkshire Trading Company are a family owned and run business with 42 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East; a busy E:Commerce operation and outdoor events teams who trade nationwide.

We now have an opportunity for an additional recruit to the sales assistant team in our store at Penrith.

The position offered is: 16 hours over 4 days to include weekends on a rota basis and may include some early mornings.

Our goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase the company's growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers' needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Process sales through our Epos till system - Training given
• Actively involved in receiving deliveries
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies policies and procedures
