Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company is hiring a part-time Sales Assistant for our Northallerton store. Work 16 hours across 4 days, including weekends on a rota. Training provided for the Epos till system and stock handling. You will focus on customer service, merchandising, and product knowledge to help drive sales.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with enthusiasm for selling and helping customers.
• Willing to work weekends on a rota basis.
• Experience handling cash and operating tills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Keep the store stocked and tidy.
• Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products.
• Welcome and greet customers; process sales through the till.
• Assist with deliveries and stay up to date with product information.

Yorkshire Trading Company are a family owned and run business with 42 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East; a busy E:Commerce operation and outdoor events teams who trade nationwide.

We now have an opportunity for an additional 3 recruits to the sales assistant team in our store at Northallerton.

The position offered is: 16 hours over 4 days to include weekends on a rota basis and may include some early mornings

Our goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Process sales through our Epos till system - Training given
• Actively involved in receiving deliveries
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies policies and procedures
