Job summary

IKEA Nottingham is looking to welcome a Sales Assistant to join our Textiles, Bathshop & Rugs team. You will inspire customers with smart, stylish home solutions and help bring ideas to life through advice, while maintaining showroom and market hall spaces.

This part-time role offers weekend work (8 hours across Sat and Sun with some weekday evenings), a starting date 15 November 2026, and benefits including a 15% IKEA discount, life assurance and pension contributions.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 15th november 2026.
• Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 8 hours weekly, working every Saturday & Sunday with some weekday evening availability.
• Working hours are between 9am and 9:30pm.

• You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
• You are always enthusiastic about the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support maximising sales by ensuring the areas are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop.
• Manual handling heavy products safely, using ladders and pump trucks.
