IKEA Nottingham is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our lively IKEA Food team. You will help run the customer restaurant, bistro, and Swedish Food Market with a focus on speedy service and a welcoming atmosphere.

We value readiness to learn, teamwork, and dedication to high cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Previous food service experience is helpful but not mandatory.

IKEA Nottingham is looking to welcome a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our delightful and hardworking team. In IKEA these are also known as IKEA Food co-workers.

Our IKEA Food team bring delicious meals and joyful experiences to our customers! Whether you're ensuring smooth service in the customer restaurant, or sharing Swedish delicacies in the bistro and Swedish Food Market, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and tasty atmosphere. From maintaining cleanliness and hygiene to helping customers with orders and sharing Scandinavian traditions, you'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to great food and great service. WHAT WE OFFER

• Start date of employment will be: 15th of November 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 10 & 12 hours weekly, weekend only, Saturday & Sunday.
• 24 hours weekly, working 4 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends.
• Working hours are between 8am to 10pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• While previous food and customer service experience can be beneficial, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a readiness to be actively involved in the work.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
• You are passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• The role will involve a variety of tasks, where you will be required to prepare, cook & serve food, cleaning the kitchen, following health & safety standards.
• Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
• Adhere to all established safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure and compliant environment for both customers and team members. This includes the mandatory removal of all facial and ear piercings while on duty.
• Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and create a positive work environment, contributing to a proud team.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Manual handling safely.
