Job summary

Poundland is looking for a friendly Sales Assistant to be the brand ambassador on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service and helping keep the store stocked and organized. You will work with a supportive team, participate in deliveries, and ensure a safe, tidy, and welcoming shopping environment.

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required, as in-house training will develop your skills and support your career growth within Poundland.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is advantageous but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment with good attention to detail.
• Willing to learn and grow through in-house training.

Responsibilities

• Keep the store stocked and presentable on the shop floor.
• Deliver fantastic customer service to every shopper.
• Support deliveries and stock replenishment to maintain available products.
• Ensure tills operate smoothly with accurate cash handling.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and welcoming store environment.

About The Role

You’ll be part of a friendly, energetic team, keeping the store stocked, giving fantastic customer service, supporting deliveries, making sure the checkouts run smoothly and ensuring the environment is safe, tidy and welcoming.

A can do, friendly approach in a team environment is what we need for this role. Having an organised approach with good attention to detail, especially on the tills, is key. Retail or customer service experience is great, but not essential, we’ll unleash your potential providing the training to get you up to speed as you’re a key part of our success.
