Job Description:

About Us

Hello, we're Flight Club, the award-winning birthplace of Social Darts and the home of unexpected, ridiculous, joy! We've taken the traditional game and reinvented it for the 21st century with multiplayer games that eliminate any need for counting by reimagining games into fast-paced, exciting social experiences with action replays for ultimate bragging rights.

With our successful venues across London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, and Scotland and venues further afield in the USA and Australia, we have ambitious growth plans ahead. We are always striving for excellence and to bring more memorable moments to our guests. We are looking for a passionate Sales and Events Manager to join our Flight Club Oxford team.

The Job

The Sales and Events Manager will support the venue team by managing all inbound event enquiries, executing sales tactics, and driving brand awareness as part of a broader Business Development strategy.

Success in this role means understanding the wider sales strategy whilst identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities across all revenue streams for their venue and building strong relationships within the local community.

Accountable for fulfilling all inbound event enquiries for their venue, the Sales and Events Manager will know our products in depth as a key brand ambassador, focusing on maximising revenue opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all inbound events for their venue from enquiry through to execution, being the point of contact for all event buyers, ensuring communication is timely both with the customer and venue teams, with information inputted into our system correctly and in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Maximising revenue opportunities through efficient diary optimisation and upselling across all revenue streams.
  • Networking - work with the Business Development Manager to execute sales outreach campaigns and support exhibitions, pop-ups, networking, and guerrilla marketing on a regular basis.
  • CRM management – working alongside the BDM, the Sales and Events Manager will ensure that all CRM data is up to date, including contact management, cleansing, and the use of CRM tools for both reporting and the deployment of key mailer campaigns.
  • Third-party management – as required by the BDM, the Sales and Events Manager will be the key point of contact for all third-party bookings, developing relationships with key third-party bookers, organising ‘FAM trips’ to ensure our brands are front of mind for third parties, and providing regular reporting.
  • Stakeholder relationships – this role will regularly liaise with colleagues across Reservations, Events, and Operations, ensuring the timely delivery of event contracts, event management, and feedback from clients.
  • Understanding of site performance. A key part of this role is venue knowledge and becoming an expert on all revenue streams and trading patterns to understand the opportunities and challenges that they face as a venue and within their neighbourhood.
  • City and competitor knowledge – we know every city and venue is unique. This role should be at the heart of its community and the face of the brand, sharing key insights with the BDM and marketing team to help identify new awareness opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you’ll:

  • Be a passionate brand ambassador and a confident communicator
  • Be eager to learn, a self-starter, confident working alone as necessary once given the tools to succeed
  • Have some experience in a very similar hospitality role
  • Have systems experience with CRM, DesignMyNight, Canva, and PowerBi beneficial

What you'll get

  • Competitive pay
  • 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays
  • Staff discount in all venues
  • Private healthcare
  • Regular team socials
  • Monthly learning and development classes, quarterly team-building events
  • Summer and Christmas socials
  • Free access to therapy, nutritionists, and physiotherapists
  • Weekly lunch in venue
