Sales Administrator

Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 5PR

  • Full-time, Permanent
  • £27,000 - £29,000 per annum

About The Role

This role is a key part of our daily sales operations, working closely with the Director to deliver excellent service and attention to detail that our company is known for. You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, handling telephone and email sales orders, and processing these through our computerised systems, ensuring a seamless transition to the warehouse or delivery team while maintaining first-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing sales orders efficiently and accurately via email or telephone.
  • Ensuring stock availability or ordering from suppliers as needed.
  • Handling sales enquiries, following through to closure, and identifying additional sales opportunities.
  • Learning technical and sales information on key products and lines.
  • Booking deliveries with couriers, carriers, hauliers, and manufacturers.
  • Planning deliveries and routing to meet customer needs, vehicle capacities, and site bookings.
  • Preparing and supplying order documentation and labels.
  • Calculating volume, area, and linear metres to determine delivery requirements.
  • Managing and utilising CRM software effectively.

You are proactive, organised, and passionate about providing excellent service. With strong multitasking skills and attention to detail, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute positively.

Requirements
  • Minimum GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with sales order and stock control software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, experience with ACT is a plus
  • Understanding of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Friendly, helpful attitude, flexible approach
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure

Ideally, you will live within 15 miles of Binfield/Wokingham and have your own transport, as public transport options are limited in this area.
