Job summary

Lift Unity City in Middlesbrough is recruiting a Trainee Computing Teacher via the Salaried route. This school-based ITT programme lets you earn while you learn, supported by expert mentors as you train in the classroom.

You will graduate with a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) after a 1-year, full-time programme, with a Summer School of 2–13 August 2027 and dedicated 1-on-1 coaching. Eligibility includes a 2:2 degree (Computing preferred or strong Computing A-Levels), GCSEs in English

Qualifications

• Degree: An undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification or above (or equivalent) by the start of the programme. A degree in Computing (or a related field) is preferred. Alternatively, a strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on teaching practice as an unqualified Computing teacher, backed by dedicated 1-on-1 mentoring.
• Weekly training modules and in-school coaching to build confidence and instructional skills.
