Lift Unity City is offering a salaried Computing Teacher Training Programme in partnership with Ark Teacher Training. Trainees earn while they learn, working towards a PGCE and QTS, with substantial classroom experience and dedicated mentoring.

The programme runs for 1 year full-time, includes two-week Summer School in August 2027, and provides bundled support, with weekly training and access to a nationwide network of trainees and schools.

Qualifications

• PGCE awarded upon programme completion.
• QTS awarded upon successful programme completion.

Responsibilities

• Complete school-based ITT programme with practical classroom delivery.
• Engage in ongoing mentoring, coaching and professional development.
• Participate in weekly training sessions and two-week Summer School.
• Join Lift Unity City’s nationwide trainee network and Early Career Framework (ECF) years.

Education

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Degree in Computing (or related field)

GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above)
