Job summary

Lift Schools is recruiting for a Trainee Computing Teacher on a Salaried route as part of our Initial Teacher Training programme. You will learn directly in the classroom, supported by experienced mentors, while working toward PGCE and QTS.

The programme lasts 1 year full-time, with Summer School and weekly training components, providing practical teaching experience and professional development within a collaborative network of Lift Schools.

Qualifications

• Degree requirement: 2:2 or above by start of programme.
• Computing degree preferred; strong A-Level in Computing acceptable as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience as an unqualified Computing teacher with mentoring.
• Earn PGCE and QTS through salaried training.
• Receive ongoing support from a dedicated tutor and in-school coach.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with 2:2 or above

Degree in Computing (or related field) preferred

Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above) considered
