Job summary

The Wyre Forest Health Partnership invites applications for a salaried GP post at Stourport Medical Centre. The role fits within a busygeneral practice caring for about 22,000 patients and forms part of a multidisciplinary team including pharmacists and first contact physiotherapists.

The post offers teaching, leadership opportunities and funded non-clinical sessions, with scope for developing specialist interests and involvement in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification
• Evidence of continuous development
• Experience of working within primary care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred general practice care
• Carry out routine consultations, capped at 14 patient contacts per session
• Carry out GP home visits by clinical exception, within protected visiting slots
• Work with triage GPs and the multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists and care coordinators
• Contribute to service improvement and quality improvement work
• Take part in clinical supervision and regular educational meetings
• Support the teaching and supervision of medical students, GP registrars and other trainees, if interested
• Develop specialist clinical interests, teaching, research or leadership, if interested
