Redgate Medical Centre, a multi-disciplinary practice, is seeking a salaried GP to work autonomously under the GMS contract. You will deliver primary medical care, manage long-term conditions and share the practice's admin workload.

The post involves 25 appointments daily with 15-minute slots, protected admin time, and no out-of-hours duties. Training of GP trainees and CPD support are included.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training).
• MRCGP or equivalent.
• Vocational Training Certificate or JCPTGP equivalent.
• Full GMC registration.
• National Performers List registration.
• Defence indemnity (MPS/MDU).
• Experience in primary care environment.
• Experience of QOF, clinical audit and leading audit programmes.
• Experience in clinical risk management.
• General understanding of the GMS contract.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality medical care under the GMS contract.
• Provide surgery, video and telephone consultations, urgent care cover and home visits.
• Manage long-term conditions and prescribe generically.
• Process referrals, lab reports and repeat prescriptions.
• Keep accurate clinical records.
• Follow clinical guidelines and audit; take delegated responsibility for a QOF area.
• Contribute to practice governance, training, financial management and HR.
• Complete appraisal and revalidation.
• Support training of medical students and CPD across the team.
• Support partners' strategic aims, raising income and cutting costs.
• Participate in practice audits and root cause analyses.
• Follow confidentiality, infection control, safeguarding and health & safety policies.
