Job summary

Redgate Medical Centre in Bridgwater is seeking a salaried GP for a six-month fixed-term post ending 31 March 2027. The autonomous role covers surgery, video and telephone consultations, home visits and urgent care, with 15-minute standard slots and protected admin time.

You will manage long-term conditions, prescribe generically, keep accurate records and complete appraisal and revalidation, under the GMS contract. Full GMC registration and National Performers List entry are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent, plus VTC or JCPTGP equivalent.
• CCT as a General Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services autonomously under the GMS contract.
• Hold surgery, video and telephone consultations, home visits and urgent care duties.
• Manage long-term conditions effectively and monitor patient care.
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidance.
• Process referrals, lab reports and repeat prescriptions promptly.
