Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Safety Case Engineer to spearhead the production and management of safety cases, PSRs, DSAs, and regulatory safety documentation for nuclear facilities in the UK.

You will conduct hazard studies, deliver robust safety arguments, and collaborate with clients and regulators to ensure compliance and safety performance. The role includes mentoring juniors and shaping technical best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered status or working towards Chartered/IEng with a relevant professional body.
• Experience in safety case management in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with nuclear plant systems and associated guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety case production and management (PSRs/PCSRs).
• Conduct hazard and risk studies (FMEA/HAZOP/ALARP).
• Develop deterministic/ probabilistic safety arguments (DSA/PSA).
• Support nuclear licensing and authorisations.
