Job summary

Amentum is at the heart of delivering complex nuclear programs across the lifecycle in the UK and globally. We are seeking Safety Case Engineers to join our teams working on next generation systems, SMRs, AMRs, and fusion projects.

You will produce and review safety assessments, lead HAZID/HAZOP studies, and develop rigorous technical arguments to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Collaborating with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary teams, you will mentor junior staff and help grow our

Qualifications

• Chartered membership or working towards chartered/incorporated engineer status.
• Proven safety case management experience in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems or structures.
• Experience delivering projects to standards and best practices.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality safety case work and demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety assessments, safety case documents, and reviews.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP studies and develop robust safety arguments.
• Produce and check technical calculations and reports.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices across projects.
