Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a Bank Safeguarding Officer to support safeguarding arrangements across the College. You will work with managers, curriculum and support staff, external agencies and students to maintain a vigilant, safe environment.

Reporting to the Safeguarding, Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager, you will coordinate safeguarding activity, deliver staff and student training, respond to safeguarding cases and contribute to multi-agency meetings.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 3 or above.
• In-depth safeguarding training within the last 2 years; e.g. Designated Officer training.
• Experience of safeguarding case work with young people and adults.
• Experience of working with Looked after children, care leavers and young carers.
• Excellent computer literacy – ability to use college IT programs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and legislation.
• Continued Professional Development (CPD) conducted.
• Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the College's Mission and values in safeguarding role.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver safeguarding support for students across the College.
• Lead on safeguarding cases and training events.
• Provide guidance to Safeguarding Leads, Duty Managers and partner agencies.
• Promote compliance with safeguarding procedures and promote student safety.
