Job summary

Morgan Hunt in London is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Officer to help create a college environment where students feel safe, supported and heard. You will respond to safeguarding concerns, support welfare needs and maintain confidential records.

You will work with teaching staff, support teams and external agencies to coordinate timely support, helping learners including those with SEND feel included and protected.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding or student welfare within education or a similar setting.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and referral processes.
• Confidence handling sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong record-keeping, organisation and communication skills.
• Experience supporting young people and learners with additional needs is desirable.

This role would suit someone who builds trust with young people, responds calmly to sensitive situations and works confidently with colleagues and external agencies.
