Zusammenfassung

City of Portsmouth College seeks a committed Safeguarding Assistant to support safeguarding and child protection across the college. You will assist Senior Safeguarding Officers and DSL in delivering safeguarding processes, recording incidents, and helping staff safeguard students and vulnerable adults.

The role is 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, part-time and permanent, with benefits including leave, pension, and staff development opportunities at the college, with on-site facilities

Qualifikationen

• A good standard of basic education (Maths and English GCSE pass or equivalent).
• 2 to 3 A Level passes or equivalent.
• Previous safeguarding experience and knowledge of procedures.

Aufgaben

• Promote safeguarding procedures with Senior Safeguarding Officers.
• Support students referred via safeguarding alerts and referrals.
• Produce accurate reporting and maintain secure records.
• Work with staff to meet statutory safeguarding requirements.
• Refer cases of suspected abuse to the appropriate body.
• Support college efforts to safeguard students from radicalisation.
