Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies Scheduler to join the Chemotherapy Day Unit at QEH Gateshead. The role involves accurate scheduling of SACT patients, using Chemocare and NHS IT systems, and coordinating with medical, nursing and admin teams.

The successful candidate will be an organised team player, capable of handling confidential information and supporting the unit manager with data collection and audits.

Qualifications

• IT literacy with NHS systems and MS Office proficiency.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with patients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive referrals and schedule patients for outpatient SACT using Chemocare and IT systems.
• Allocate appropriate appointment slots for each stage of the treatment process in liaison with staff.
• Support the admin team with reception duties and data entry while maintaining GDPR compliance.
