Job summary

Broadridge is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership for a new SaaS platform. You will shape architecture, engineering standards, and the technical roadmap, ensuring a scalable, secure, and maintainable product.

You will own practical delivery, lead through technical judgment and hands-on contribution, with deep experience in C#, .NET, AWS, PostgreSQL, Blazor, and modern delivery practices. This is a senior, individual-contributor leadership role.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial software-engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience shaping technical direction and architecture of complex platforms.
• Strong API design, distributed systems and service-based apps.
• Judgement on service boundaries, asynchronous integration and data ownership.
• Experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Experience defining roadmaps, standards and multi-team alignment.
• Strong focus on maintainability, security, observability and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD, build pipelines and modern delivery practices; Jenkins preferred.
• Ability communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentoring engineers and leading through influence rather than management.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating value.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the SaaS platform.
• Provide technical direction across architecture, standards and risk.
• Define service boundaries, APIs and frontend integration approaches.
• Lead technical decisions and design reviews balancing speed, security and scalability.
• Collaborate with Software Architect and Lead Engineers on major platform decisions.
• Translate direction into practical delivery plans and execution.
• Hands-on contributions through prototypes and critical-path work.
• Improve reliability, security, observability and cloud maturity in AWS.
• Strengthen engineering practices, CI/CD and developer experience.
• Identify risks, dependencies and architectural debt early.
• Shape AI-assisted development workflows with governance.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical capability.
