Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a Principal Engineer to lead the technical direction of a new SaaS platform built with C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, AWS, Blazor and MudBlazor. You will own architecture, standards and the engineering roadmap, while delivering hands-on contribution and mentoring peers.

You will shape API design, event-driven integration, and cloud patterns like Lambda, ECS and EC2, ensuring security, resilience and maintainability across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial software engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience designing APIs, distributed systems and service‑based apps.
• Strong understanding of architecture, testing, security, observability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technical strategy, target architecture and engineering roadmap for the SaaS platform.
• Provide clear technical direction across architecture, standards, platform design and risk.
• Define service boundaries, APIs, data ownership and frontend integration approaches.
• Lead major technical decisions and design reviews balancing speed, security and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and Lead Engineers, raising architectural judgement and engineering consistency.
