Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a District Nurse to join the Rural District Nursing Team. You will visit housebound patients in their own homes, assess, plan and deliver nursing care, and work both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Primary Care Network.

The role requires current NMC registration, willingness to develop extended skills, a valid driving licence, and ability to travel across the locality. Salary range £32,073 to £39,043 a year, pro rata.

Qualifications

• RN with current NMC registration.
• ENB 997/998, Learning through Mentorship module, or commit to undertake.
• Experience in community nursing and in a community setting.
• Ability to travel across locality with timely delivery of patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of clinical governance & infection control.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Nursing Care as part of a team and support the District Nurse.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care while working autonomously as a lone worker.
• Travel throughout the locality with equipment and staff; must have car access and driving licence.
• Contribute to service development and seven-day service expansion.
