Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic District Nursing Service Community Staff Nurse to join our team in rural Rothbury. You will work closely with GPs to deliver patient-centered care in patients' homes, residential settings, and clinics, with opportunities for development and progression within the District Nursing Service.

Successful applicants must hold full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• State Registration on Part 1 of the NMC register is essential.
• Diploma/degree in nursing is required or beneficial.
• Completion of Trust preceptorship programme within the first year.
• Evidence of qualification to supervise/teach nursing students is required or expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and support to patients in their homes and clinics.
• Provide palliative care and bereavement support to patients and families.
• Perform nursing procedures with skill and dexterity (venipuncture, injections, wound care).
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for diverse patient groups.
