Join a team that helps save and improve lives every day ... Are you an organised multi-tasker who enjoys building connections and making a difference behind the scenes? As the Administrator for the South West Regional Transfusion Committee (RTC), youll play a key role in supporting work that helps ensure blood is used safely and effectively across hospitals in the region. This is a regular part-time, hybrid role working 20 hours per week, with a combination of home and on-site working, rather than a casual or ad hoc position. Your designated work base will be NHSBTs Bristol Filton centre, and you will need to be based in the South West region. Your working days and hours will be agreed with your line manager to meet the needs of the role, including the availability and clinical commitments of the RTC Chair and other key stakeholders. Some flexibility will be required to support meetings and events. This varied and rewarding role involves coordinating meetings, projects and educational events that bring together healthcare professionals, patient representatives and partners to share best practice and improve patient outcomes.
You will occasionally need to travel away from your usual base to support meetings and events at other NHSBT centres or external venues, with some requiring overnight stays. Advance notice will be provided.
Working as part of a friendly, professional team, youll use your communication and organisational skills to keep everything running smoothly. Youll also have opportunities to work independently, take ownership of your tasks and make a valuable contribution to the committees work.
