Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant offers a hybrid working arrangement with a base location to be confirmed after the final interview and mutually agreed with the line manager. You will manage Clinical Services projects to timely and successful conclusions, ensuring alignment with business strategy and budgets.

You may deputise for the Programme Manager and support assurance across the organisation, while assisting in portfolio build planning and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage Clinical Services projects to timely and successful conclusions.
• Ensure project outcomes align with business strategies and manage budgets.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, regulation and instructions.
• Deputise for the Programme Manager and support assurance of projects and programmes.
• Support Clinical Services portfolio build planning and reporting processes.
• Manage multiple projects at different lifecycle stages.
• Develop and improve NHSBT Portfolio, Programme and Project Management tools and methods.
• Maintain all project artefacts (board update packs, plans, runbooks, RAIDD logs).

Job description

The role offers a hybrid working option. You will be assigned a base location, which could be one of the NHSBT main centres or blood centres. The exact location will be confirmed after the final interview and mutually agreed upon with the line manager during the verbal offer stage.,

• In this role, you will be responsible for manage Clinical Services projects to timely and successful conclusions
• Ensuring that intended project outcomes are in alignment with the business strategies, that all project budgets are managed effectively, and all operational needs are met.
• Managing specific projects, ensuring that they are managed to the highest professional standards and comply with all relevant internal and external standards, regulation and instructions.
• Deputising for the Programme Manager as required and supporting assurance of projects and programmes across the organisation.
• Supporting Clinical Services portfolio build planning and reporting processes.
• Managing more than one project at any given time at different stages in their lifecycle.
• Participating in the development and improvement of the NHSBT Portfolio, Programme and Project Management tools and methods.
• Maintaining all project artefacts, for example project/programme board update packs, project plans, runbooks, RAIDD logs.

Willingness and ability to undertake travel and spend time away from base to meet the requirements of the post (with appropriate prior notice).
