Job summary

Realm Recruit is partnering with a growing Manchester law firm to recruit a Personal Injury Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with at least 2 years' PI experience. The role offers the chance to retrain into Employers' Liability and Public Liability, with hybrid working and a supportive, award-winning culture.

You'll manage about 130 files across EL, PL, OL and some RTA, progressing matters from instruction to settlement or trial.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer (E)
• At least 2 years' experience managing a Personal Injury caseload (E)
• Experience handling RTA claims (E)
• Ability to progress claims from instruction to settlement or trial (E)
• Strong understanding of liability and quantum (E)
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach (E)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (E)
• Genuine commitment to outstanding client care (E)
• Experience handling EL, PL or OL claims, or enthusiasm to retrain in these areas (D)
• Ideally 1-3 years' PQE (D)
• Experience managing litigated claims (D)
• Proclaim case management experience (D)

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of approximately 130 Personal Injury files (EL/PL/OL, some RTA)
• Handling EL, PL, OL and some RTA claims
• Investigating liability and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence
• Preparing schedules of loss
• Negotiating settlements with insurers
• Progressing litigated and non-litigated matters
• Liaising with clients, experts and third parties
• Delivering empathetic, high-quality client care
• Developing expertise in EL/PL claims
