RTA Solicitor – Litigation

Manchester | Hybrid working | £45,000–£60,000

I'm working with a claimant personal injury law firm in Manchester to recruit RTA Solicitors. There are two opportunities, both offering hybrid working and salary of £45,000–£60,000 depending on experience.

This is a solicitor-level litigation role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of road traffic accident claims, assessing the evidence and making reasoned decisions on how a case should be progressed and resolved.

The caseload

You will handle litigated RTA matters, investigating disputed liability, reviewing medical reports and assessing the evidence on injury and financial loss. You will identify where further accident, witness or expert evidence is required and prepare clear advice on prospects and settlement.

Your work will include drafting pleadings and schedules of loss, dealing with disclosure and witness statements, complying with directions and instructing counsel where needed. You will negotiate with insurers and their representatives and prepare matters thoroughly where they continue towards trial.

The role calls for practical judgement as well as procedural knowledge. You should be able to explain why a particular step is needed, what it is likely to achieve and how it affects the client's position.
