Job summary

IWFM is recruiting a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of up to 20 properties across the North East from Newcastle upon Tyne. This full TFM role covers hard and soft services, with on-the-road responsibilities and monthly site visits to monitor condition and compliance.

You will work with surveyors, senior stakeholders and client teams, supported by onboarding with shadowing and mentoring, with a clear route to a senior roving position and potential people management.

Qualifications

• At least two years facilities management experience with managing agent responsibilities.
• NEBOSH General Certificate is essential; IWFM and/or IOSH membership desirable.
• Knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant matters, including service charge.
• Experience with hard and soft services; strong contract management skills.
• Awareness training in fire risk assessment, asbestos and water hygiene.
• Experience in industrial, retail or office property.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage hard and soft services across up to 20 properties, including planned preventive maintenance.
• Visit sites monthly to carry out inspections, take meter readings and report on condition and compliance.
• Hold regular contract meetings with suppliers and assess performance against KPIs.
• Procure goods and services, validate invoices and support service charge budgets.
• Ensure all works have the right health and safety arrangements in place.
• Liaise with occupiers, on-site staff and suppliers, keeping everyone updated until issues are resolved.
