Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is recruiting STEP Pharmacists (Band 6) to join the dynamic pharmacy team. Successful candidates must be registered pharmacists by March 2027 and be willing to travel to all STEP base sites across South East London.

Roles include rotating through Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, and other STEP sites with placements, training and progression opportunities. The programme runs three years to develop high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MPharm degree with GPhC registration by March 2027.
• Willingness to enrol on further postgraduate training.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Dispensary services and following dispensing procedures.
• Be the Responsible Pharmacist and ensure formulary compliance.
• Dispense/check scripts, including clinical trials and chemotherapy.
• Counsel patients on medicines and manage workflow with the team.
• Participate in dispensary audits and update SOPs as required.
• Engage in Medicines Information and ward-based pharmaceutical care.
