Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is recruiting STEP Pharmacists (Band 6) to join our dynamic pharmacy team. You will rotate through Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, and other STEP sites across South East London, gaining broad clinical experience and developing your expertise.

You must be registered with the GPhC by March 2027 and undertake the UCL Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• GPhC registration by March 2027 is required.
• Experience in dispensary or patient services is essential.
• Experience in Medicines Information or Technical Services is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake the UCL Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and check Outpatients and Inpatients scripts, including clinical trials and chemotherapy.
• Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy services and medicines information.
• Act as Responsible Pharmacist and follow dispensary SOPs.
• Participate in education, training, and CPD activities within the department.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient care.
• Engage in rotation through base hospitals and participate in STEP activities.
