Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking STEP programme pharmacists to rotate through seven base hospitals in South East London, gaining experience across dispensary, MI and ward-based services. Placements with other trusts are managed through honorary contracts.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Diploma in General Practice Pharmacy or equivalent Foundation Programme.
• Meet GPhC professional, fitness to practise and ethical standards.
• Be the Responsible Pharmacist where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and check Outpatients and Inpatients scripts, including clinical trials and chemotherapy.
• Counsel patients on the medicines they need and resolve problems.
• Participate in dispensary audits and update SOPs.
• Assist Medicines Information (MI) training and knowledge sharing.
