Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 6) for a 37.5 hour rotational post in Frailty Therapy Intervention covering Medical Specialities and Stroke. This permanent role offers rotation across specialist areas, with shifts during a 7‑day service from 8am to 8pm and rotations including 8am–4pm, 12pm–8pm and 11am–7pm.

• Effective communication within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, responsive care within the Stroke Unit and medical wards.
• Participate in rotations across Frailty Therapy Intervention and medical specialties.
• Undertake home assessments and thorough follow up where appropriate.
• Contribute to a proactive 7-day service with extended hours (8am–8pm).
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maximise patient independence.
