Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist. You will contribute to a comprehensive rotation across Frailty and A&E, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopaedics (trauma and electives), MSK outpatients and more.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in supervision, and support discharge planning, with weekend and on-call rotas as part of the role.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative, progressive and dynamic team. As a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist you will play a key role in the provision of high quality physiotherapy services. Offering acomprehensive range of rotations within:
Frailty and A&E,Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopaedics (trauma and electives), MSK outpatients, Integrated Community Neurorehabilitation Service (off site), Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Acute Medicine (General, Respiratory, Haematology/Oncology/Gastro), Care of the Older Person, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Clifton Rehabilitation (off site).
You will be guided and well supported by senior and clinically specialised staff, engaging in regular supervision, objectives and appraisals to enhance your personal and professional development., You will be responsible for the provision of Physiotherapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning of patients with multiple and sometimes complex diagnoses. You will also work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide a holistic patient centred service, working towards shared goals and a safe and timely discharge.
You will be expected to participate in weekend working and on call rotas on a rota basis.
You will be required to have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a car for off site rotations.
As a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist you will be required to take part in delivering a quality Physiotherapy Service in balance with working clinically alongside Consultants and other members of the Multidisciplinary Team. You will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and have a problem solving approach to patient management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support other team members is essential.
